Hi everyone. This session I decided to do some different activities, instead of another session of PowerPoint. We took at look at Mozilla Firefox, and it’s advantages over Microsoft Internet Explorer, and we also had a look at Google, and some of the services and facilities it has to offer. You got a copy of the videos I created, based on some of our past sessions, and learned how to burn them to a CD-ROM. In that regard, I also gave you a quick primer on CDs and DVDs. There will be no follow up video for this session.
Below is a list of websites you may want to visit.
Next semester, we will come back to Photoshop, editing our photos and using our Cameras. We will be using both Photoshop and PowerPoint, however I won’t be doing a lot of teaching of new content. Rather I will be showing you how to use the existing skills you now have in Photoshop and PowerPoint, to start and hopefully complete a small project by the end of the semester.
Our lesson schedule will be back to normal next semester. We will start at 6:00pm, and finish at 9:00pm.
That’s all for now! See you all again next semester!
Our next lesson is on the 23rd of July 2008
