Hi Everyone, I decided to put up this little “how to” as a guide to posting comments on this website. If you are interested in receiving updates whenever I add something new here, it would be in your best interest to register an account on this website.
Worst Case Scenario, you are unable to register for some reason. You can use the “Contact” page instead.
Registration is easy peasy japeneasy and lets you post anywhere, including the Discussion Forum.
For those of you who just want to register an account to receive update notifications (brief emails letting you know that I have added stuff to this website), Click Here. Note that you will be automagically logged in straight away (and permanently, unless you log yourself out).
1. I want to post a comment! What do I do?
Hold on to that enthusiasm, you’re only seconds away from comment posting bliss! First, underneath the heading of the post you want to comment on, look for the “Comments” link. It will always have a little speech balloon near it. Click It!
It may not always say “2 Comments”. The number could be higher or Even 0!
The number represents the amount of comments already posted.
2. I have to login to post? What is my Username and Password?
In the endless battle against spammers (think graffiti), registration to post is now mandatory. Don’t worry, it’s a cinch! The first thing you do, is click the “login” link, which takes you to this page:
See that Register link there? Click It! We’re almost done!
3. Fill in the Form
Just three questions to answer, and you’re done! Enter in a desired username (use your own name if you want to be recognised by the rest of the class), your email address (totally private) and grab your calculator to take care of the maths question. When you’re done, click the big Register button.
4. I thought I would have to login?
I told you this was a cinch! Just for taking the time to register, I’ve fast forwarded the process for you! Instead of making your check your email, click a link, visit a login page, login to the website, yadda yadda yadda, I’ve automagically logged you in (permanently), and sent you back to the post where you wanted to place your comment!
5. What about next time I want to Post a Comment? Do this all again?
Next time you want to post a comment, unless you actually log yourself out, you will still be logged in (even if you come back a week later, to the same computer that is), which means you can fast track steps 1 – 4 and post your comment straight away! Once you have had one comment moderated (approved by me) your comments will appear to the public (everyone) straight away!
